What happend if US, UK, and SA did not trained the Mujadhedeen during 1979-1988 soviet-afgan war?

Ok so i get it. So let me ask u? What happened if US, UK, SA did not trained the mujadhedeen and let the russians take over? Woud it be better? Then we would not have this problem in war in middle east now. NO BS answers and no insults. I just answering out of curiousity. No insults plase and give a nice constructive arguments.
