Are Republicans running a McCarthy policy against honest US citizens? Is this Un-American behavior?

Liz Cheney and her group are running an ad that calls for the id of the "Al-Queda 7" apparently you are as guilty as a terrorist if you defend one or are a lawyer for one. The id's have been published and it turns out most of them were Bush appointees. She insinuates that these people are not good Americans. although most of them were appointed by Republicans and some with ties to her father...is he a terrorist? One works in the law offices of Rudy Giuiliani...is he a terrorist leader? Ted Olson was the one who advocated for them, is Ted Olson, a Republican also a terrorist? Is the Liz Cheney policy to rewrite history for her father Cheney? Is this the same as McCarthyism --guilt by ociation? Are there any Republicans out there that will denounce this type of shameful behavior?
