Why does he still have her stuff hanging around?

My boyfriend has been divorced for 5 years. Today I went by his place and he has a patio ornament hanging from his deck.. he recently put it out.. it's one that he made for his ex when they were married - it's a big heart shaped diner triangle. He says he likes the noise it makes. She is over on a regular basis to drop their kids off, etc. I wonder about this, so had to ask you guys - I'll let it go in a minute*
